The Naked and Famous
THE NAKED AND FAMOUS bring their In Rolling Waves Tour home to play Auckland’s Powerstation on Friday May 16.
They wowed the Auckland Big Day Out crowd last month with an electrifying set that the Herald called a “triumphant return”. The New Zealand group also drew raves for their Australian Big Day Out shows before heading to the US to join Imagine Dragons on their current 22-date arena tour.
Touring their new album In Rolling Waves, The Naked And Famous have already played to sold out crowds of 5,000 over two nights in New York and packed out venues across the US, Canada, UK and Europe.
Powered by early singles Hearts Like Ours and I Kill Giants, In Rolling Waves is proving a worthy follow-up to break-out album Passive Me Aggressive You which featured the two million-selling hit single Young Blood.
The five-piece now call Los Angeles home and are a popular festival act around the world, performing at Glastonbury, Fuji Rock and Lollapalooza. Next up, they play Coachella before reaching New Zealand shores in May.
Don’t miss our own ascending sonic instrumentalists as they continue to shape the global landscape of modern music with their unique sound that the Guardian UK’s critic recently dubbed “audaciously epic pop-rock noir”.
